Sponsorship & labelling
Draft
Sponsorship exists so businesses outside the Quarter can support the platform without distorting it.
Every placement carries a conspicuous label, names the advertiser, and sits in its own container rather than inside organic results. Sponsors cannot create a Quarter map pin, an organic directory listing, or any "inside the Quarter" designation. Paid placement never silently displaces organic results.
Every placement is approved individually before it goes live and can be paused immediately. Sponsor reporting uses aggregate impressions and outbound clicks only; we never expose individual visitor behaviour.
Prices are published on the Advertise with us page as our own proposed rates, not as market values, and are reviewed as real audience figures accumulate. Placements are sold for a fixed duration; we do not promise impressions, clicks, unique people reached, footfall or sales, and we do not sell unused weeks or make-good impressions as though they were delivered audience.
Paid inventory is deliberately limited: at most two paid cards on a page, no more than one sponsor card per four organic cards in browse modules, and only one lead sponsor in any newsletter issue. Where several partners have booked the same slot, they rotate evenly. There is no sponsored map layer, no takeover interstitial, no autoplay, and no sponsored map layer. We do not infer anything about a visitor from the pages they read.
We do not accept creative that harasses or misrepresents LGBTQ+ people, impersonates a Quarter business, exploits people seeking support, makes unsubstantiated claims or conflicts with our community standards. Sensitive sectors and age-restricted products get additional review. Where third-party advertising measurement is switched on, it runs only on public browse pages, only after a visitor agrees, and never on community, support or policy pages. Sponsors are never placed on support or help-seeking pages or forms.
Charities' support information is never paywalled and never sold as a sponsorship slot.
