Listing eligibility

Draft wording, pending final review before launch.

Draft

This wording is a working draft written to describe how the platform actually behaves. It is editable content and needs final review and approval before launch. Publishing it does not amount to a legal compliance statement.

Every eligible business physically inside the mapped Brighton Queer Quarter is entitled to a complete free listing, free events and offers publishing, and equal access to the core tools. There is no paid tier for core capabilities.

Businesses outside the boundary are not included in the organic directory and do not appear as map pins. They may buy clearly labelled sponsorship placements. Paying for sponsorship never confers an inside-the-Quarter designation and never affects organic ranking.

Charities, social groups and community organisations may hold a free community profile even when based outside the boundary. Their true location and their relationship to the Quarter are always shown. Performer and creative profiles are free and do not need to be inside the boundary.

Premises on the boundary line, pop-ups, businesses without public premises and relocations are reviewed individually. Nothing is approved automatically. Decisions record a reason, and there is an appeal route. A change of address triggers a fresh eligibility review.
